My career in fitness began 9 years ago but my passion for it started long before that. Growing up, I was a sports fanatic. You name it, I played it. My passion for sports carried on past High School and into college. I was fortunate enough to play collegiate football at Saginaw Valley State University where I earned honors as a first team All-American and received my Bachelors in Exercise Science. During this time, I gained a vast amount of knowledge in the classroom and applied that knowledge to my everyday sports training. I became fascinated with how the body works and its adaptations to various exercise stimuli. At this point, I knew I wanted to continue on with fitness past college.

Post graduation, I started working at a local Fit Body Boot Camp and received my certification as a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor. Here I found a new joy in helping others that were starting their own fitness journey. I loved the community aspect that Boot Camp had as well, it was built on a team foundation, each person pushing the next to reach their fitness goals. It felt as if I was back in college training with teammates again. I longed for this type of comradery. I was featured on Fox News for winning a 12 week challenge between multiple Fit Body locations and this only pushed my expectations higher.

After a few years of training and learning the business side of the gym, I wanted to expand and challenge myself. I decided to open my own Fit Body Boot Camp in Auburn Hills, MI. It was a huge challenge gaining respect and making a name for myself in such a competitive area but I persevered through the many, many lows. I learned more than I imagined, and came out stronger and more confident. However, I ended up parting ways with the gym once my wife and I had our first child. I realized I wanted to spend more time with my family and owning a business simply did not allow that to happen.

I moved back to Muskegon, and started working at Phyt Phyzique in 2021. I reconnected with past members and it was as if I never left. During my first year, I received awards for “Best Personal Trainer” and “Best Group Fitness Instructor”. Today, I continue to serve this community and its members
